Busanga Tin Project
Location
The Busanga Tin Project covers an area of about 74 km², and is Joint Venture project in the D.R Congo which Chevalier Resources has a 60 % interest in.
The project site is located about 140 km north of Kolwezi, near the town of Busanga. Kolwezi is located in the Katanga province in the D.R Congo, with major copper-cobalt deposits and projects located around the city. It has an an excellent highway and rail connections to the ports of Durban (South Africa), Dar-Es-Salaam (Tanzania), and Lobito (Angola).
Mineralization
The project is located within the Katanga Tin Belt region, which starts north of Kolwezi and extends in a north-east angle, for a distance of about 160 km. Mineralization occurs in two forms :
* pegmatite veins containing tin and tantalite, and ranging in length from 100 to 1000 m.
* an extensive network of alluvial deposits containing cassiterite (tin oxide).

Development objectives
Development objectives of the project will include a small scale mining operation combined to a comprehensive exploration program of the property.
• Small scale mining production:
This will be conducted from the alluvial mineralization present in the property. It will consist mainly of a washing plant, and a gravity separation module for the production of cassiterite.
• Exploration program:
Outside of the area selected for a small scale production of cassiterite, a comprehensive exploration program will be conduted, to identify and quantify mineral reserves of tin and associated minerals (including tantalite).
